-
- 1 package of Ground Turkey, 20 oz (85/15 is okay, but leaner is better
- 4 Burger Buns
- 1 Bag Frozen sweet corn
- 2 Russet Potatoes (or 4 yukon gold potatoes)
- Any burger toppings you enjoy (cheese/lettuce/tomato/onion/pickles/ketchup/mustard/etc)
- 2 Garlic Cloves
- 1/2 cup olive oil, divided
- 1 teaspoons salt, divided
- 1 teaspoon chili powder, divided
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose seasoning, divided
- 1/2 tablespoon Worchestershire Sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
-
- Start cooking the potatoes first, as they’ll take the longest amount of time to cook.
- Preheat oven to 375F degrees.
- Line 2 sheet pans with foil and spray with cooking spray. You’ll need one pan for each potato. Set aside.
- Wash and dry potatoes.
- Cut potatoes and arrange on pan. I prefer repeating length-wise cuts until I get 12-15 “French fries” from each potato. Divide the potatoes evenly between the two pans.
- Drizzle on ¼ cup olive oil on each pan of potatoes.
- Sprinkle each pan of potatoes with 1 tablespoon all-purpose seasoning, ¼ teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of chili powder.
- Rub potatoes on the pan with the olive oil and seasonings, until each potato is evenly covered on all sides. Make sure potatoes are in an even layer for even cooking.
-
- Place pans of potatoes into the preheated oven and set a timer for 15 minutes…now let’s work on the rest of dinner. The potatoes will cook for 30 minutes total, turning halfway during cooking process.
- Start cooking the potatoes first, as they’ll take the longest amount of time to cook.
-
- Second, season and prepare the burger patties. (Remember note above about the grill.)
- Preheat countertop grill to 375F.
- Mince the 2 cloves of garlic. Set aside.
- Add ground meat to a large bowl, along with minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of all-purpose seasoning and ½ tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce.
- Mix ground meat until all seasonings are well-incorporated, then form into patties. You should be able to get 4 patties per package of ground meat.
-
- Add patties to preheated grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, until internal temperature indicates doneness.
- Second, season and prepare the burger patties. (Remember note above about the grill.)
-
- Meanwhile, cook corn*.
- Add 1 bag of frozen corn, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ½ cup water to a saucepan.
-
- Cook on medium-high until boiling. Allow to boil at least 5 minutes.
-
- Drain corn, and season with additional salt or butter to taste. Move to serving bowl and place in microwave to keep warm (do not turn microwave on).
- Meanwhile, cook corn*.
*While waiting for corn to boil: (1) Check the potatoes in the oven, which should be browning. Flip them, so they brown on the other side and cook for another 15 mins. (2) Check on the burgers, and flip if needed. AND (3) Prep any toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.) for the finished burgers.

-
- Finish burgers.
- Check internal temperature for burgers and remove from grill once cooked through (well done for poultry = 165F).
-
- Allow burgers to rest. If desired, add a slice of cheese to melt on top of each burger during its rest time.
- Finish burgers.
-
- Finish potatoes – Remove potatoes from oven. They should be golden brown on both sides, having baked a total of 30 minutes.
-
- Toast burger buns while food is cooling, then butter the toast. Don’t forget to grab the corn.
-
- Start plating and, more importantly, enjoy your delicious meal.
